چکیده

Digital watermarking used for fingerprinting may receive a collusion attack; two or more users collude, compare their data, find a part of embedded watermarks, and make an unauthorized copy by masking their identities. In this paper, assuming that at most c users collude, we give a characterization of the fingerprinting codes that have the best security index in a sense of “(c, p/q)-secureness” proposed by Orihara et al. The characterization is expressed in terms of intersecting families of sets. Using a block design, we also show that a distributor of data can only find asymptotically a set of c users including at least one culprit, no matter how good fingerprinting code is used. key words: collusion attack, digital watermarking, fingerprinting, security index, block designs, intersecting families

Anonymous Fingerprinting with Robust QIM Watermarking Techniques

Fingerprinting is an essential tool to shun legal buyers of digital content from illegal redistribution. In fingerprinting schemes, the merchant embeds the buyer’s identity as a watermark into the content so that the merchant can retrieve the buyer’s identity when he encounters a redistributed copy. To prevent the merchant from dishonestly embedding the buyer’s identity multiple times, it is es...

On the Collusion-Resistance of the Fingerprinting Algorithm Based on Additive Watermarking

Digital fingerprinting is the technique used for traitor tracing in multimedia content distribution. It embeds unique customer information (e.g., customer ID) into multimedia content and generates different copies for different customers. The unique customer information can be extracted from the illegal copy and used to tell the traitor who re-distributes his copy to other unauthorized customer...

Joint Fingerprinting and Encryption in the DWT Domain for Secure M2M Communication

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication is viewed as one of the next frontiers in wireless communications. Because of unguarded communication, new security threats emerge. Considering that multimedia will be widely used in various applications over M2M network, it is very urgent to meet new security requirements for multimedia communication. This paper focuses on a joint fingerprinting and encry...

Exploring QIM-based anti-collusion fingerprinting for multimedia

Digital fingerprinting is an emerging technology to protect multimedia from unauthorized use by embedding a unique fingerprint signal into each user’s copy. A robust embedding algorithm is an important building block in order to make the fingerprint resilient to various distortions and collusion attacks. Spread spectrum embedding has been widely used for multimedia fingerprinting. In this paper...

Fingerprinting and genetic diversity evaluation of rice cultivars using Inter Simple Sequence Repeat marker

Rice as one of the most important agricultural crops has a putative potential for ensuring food security and addressing poverty in the world. In the present study, in order to provide basic information to improve rice through breeding programs, Inter Simple Sequence Repeat marker (ISSR) was used For DNA fingerprinting and finding genetic relationships among 32 different cultivars. In this study...
